Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The chart is drawn in your browser. An editor link carries all the data you pasted, even columns the chart leaves out, after the # in the address, which browsers never send to a server.
Does it work with semicolon-separated or European CSV files?
Yes. Semicolons and decimal commas (1.234,5) are detected. To set the separator yourself, open Reading options under the data.
Can I paste straight from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Copied cells arrive as tab-separated text, and formatted numbers like $1,200 or 12% are understood as they are.
How do I chart only some of the columns?
Open More settings, then Columns: untick the series you don’t want and pick the column that holds the labels. Up to 8 series fit on one chart.
How do I make a pie chart from a CSV?
Use two columns, names and values, and choose Pie or Donut. Past 6 slices, the smallest are grouped as “Other”.
Why are my dates shown as text?
Only ISO dates like 2026-07-06 go on a time axis. A date like 07/06/2026 could be July or June, so it stays a label, in the order given.
Why is one bar much taller than the rest?
Usually a totals row came along with the data. Delete title rows, totals and notes before pasting. Cells like “12 kg” are text, not numbers: put the unit in the column name instead.
How large can the CSV be?
Up to 5,000 rows and 50 columns, with up to 8 series charted. For more, summarize the data first.
